Painting Series
Fragmentation

Work Fragmentation :

The Fragmentation series explores a graphic and structured approach to contemporary abstract art. Each composition is based on a play of contrasting flat colours, curved lines and geometric interlacing, creating a dynamic, balanced visual rhythm. Created using acrylic paint, these contemporary abstract works combine rigorous construction with freedom of interpretation. Their modern, vibrant style blends easily with contemporary and designer interiors, adding depth and character to the space. With the Fragmentation series, Jonathan Pradillon offers a personal vision of geometric painting in which each canvas becomes a field of energy, movement and visual balance.

Techniques and materials :

The paintings in the Fragmentation series are produced using acrylic paint on cotton canvas mounted on a wooden stretcher. The flat areas of colour are applied with a brush, then structured by graphic lines drawn with a Posca acrylic marker, bringing precision and visual balance. Each contemporary abstract painting is then varnished using a spray can, with a matt or gloss finish depending on the desired effect. This technique combines sharpness, durability and modernity, in the service of an artistic expression based on rigour and clarity of gesture.
