The Tree series highlights the presence and silhouette of trees through an approach that blends figurative elements with contemporary expression. Trunks and branches appear in deep black against vibrant backgrounds where light plays a central role: glowing reds, deep blues, boreal tones… Each painting carries its own atmosphere, like a moment captured between day and night. Worked with brush, palette knife, and acrylic markers, these pieces play with contrasts between organic shapes and dynamic color fields.The branching lines unfold like a living network, giving the compositions an expressive and almost meditative quality. This series offers a sensitive vision of nature, a way to reveal its rhythms, its colors, and its quiet strength.
Techniques and materials :
The works in the Arbre series are created with acrylic paint on cotton canvas stretched over a wooden frame, using brush, palette knife, and acrylic markers to shape the silhouettes and finer details. The paintings are available in both small and large formats, on single canvases as well as triptychs. Each piece is protected with an acrylic varnish, with a finish selected according to the desired effect: matte, satin, or glossy. This treatment ensures solid protection of the surface while enhancing color depth and the overall quality of contrasts.
