Painting Series
Matrix

Work Matrix :

The Matrix series draws its identity from the digital universe. The canvases evoke a dense, continuous vertical rain, similar to a flow of data crossing space. The textures, stretched with a knife, create an almost hypnotic downward movement, reminiscent of the aesthetics of computer matrices: a cascade of information, a code in motion, a visual flow that pulses and regenerates itself. Each painting functions as a fragment of this language, a window onto a system in the process of being written. The repetition of lines, their rhythm and direction, construct an immersive pattern where the eye circulates as if at the heart of a network.

Techniques and materials :

The works in the Matrix series are created using acrylic paint on cotton canvas mounted on wooden frames. The material is worked with a knife, then stretched vertically while still wet, creating a fluid and continuous gradient. The edges of the works are finished with black acrylic paint for a modern and contemporary look. Each canvas is protected by a glossy acrylic varnish applied with an aerosol spray, ensuring the depth of the textures and the durability of the colours.
