In this composition, gold and brown unfold in successive circles that seem to radiate from an incandescent centre. The material, applied thickly with a spatula, creates an almost mineral-like relief where light slips and reflects, revealing iridescent accents depending on the angle of view.
Warm hues intermingle with darker passages, as if the surface were oscillating between embers and darkness.
The whole evokes a slowly pulsating luminous hearth, a point of heat that expands and contracts in a continuous movement.
