Contemporary painting: Green Fragmented Burst.
This painting presents a fragmented spiral, centered on a green light that seems to emerge from the material. The green, worked with a knife in dense layers, extends in irregular circles until it melts into the black, like vital energy absorbed by shadow.
Green here is a symbol of growth, regeneration and natural impulse. It evokes a vegetal or subterranean force, both raw and fluid. The overall effect is one of slow, almost meditative, circular movement.
