Wood carving Interlace
This contemporary work combines the suppleness of wood with the solidity of metal in a form of organic ascent.
Carved from a single branch, the structure soars in a twisted movement, recalling both the growth of a plant and the tension of an expanding spiral. The base, made of welded horseshoes and steel washers, provides a rough anchor for this sculptural momentum.
Diffused light, emanating from the base thanks to an integrated LED garland, highlights the texture of the wood and reveals its curves with an almost living warmth.
Every detail, from the hand-chiselling to the glazed finish, bears witness to patient, precise workmanship.
This piece straddles the border between decorative sculpture and symbolic work - an interweaving of matter and light, gesture and breath.
