Floor lamp sculpture Totem lamp
This sculpture-lamp, the fruit of a long process of assembly and hand carving, explores the encounter between the warmth of wood and the rigor of metal.
The central pillar, carved from a lime branch, retains an organic dimension, while the lamp head, welded from washers, screws, hinges and keys, evokes a totemic mask with mechanical overtones.
Each element is carefully crafted and treated:
the wood has received several coats of teak stain and varnish for a deep, long-lasting finish, while the metal is protected by two coats of rustproofing.
The light, diffused by a warm white LED bulb (Thinkmore E14 - 420 Lumens), reveals reliefs and textures, transforming the sculpture into an atmospheric object.
Over 55 hours of work went into the creation of this hybrid work of art, design and expressive craftsmanship.
